Selecting Nickel 201 ASTM B730 Welded Tube, welded-and-drawn, or seamless tubing for your application is a complex process. Do you know that longitudinal welds present an opportunity for defect, which cannot be tolerated in critical applications. To produce a welded tube, strip is roll-formed and joined with a longitudinal seam. The weld area is dimensionally inconsistent with the strip and causes areas of stress concentration, particularly for tubes that are subjected to a high internal pressure. Furthermore, these crevices, or areas of stress concentration that exist on both sides of the weld seam create opportunities for corrosion as residue becomes trapped. These crevices can cause cracks, which can propagate and cause the welded tube to rupture.
Methods for manufacturing welded tubing are countless and allow for great variance in the final product. Many manufacturers have the option to use TIG, laser, or high-frequency welding. Some manufacturers then roll-reduce, bead-hammer, sink through a die, or draw the as-welded tubing over a mandrel or a plug in an attempt to minimize the dimensional variation and integrate the weld seam. These products are known by many names like welded-and-drawn, seam-free and seam-integrated.

This is because the customers prefer to buy all the items in one place from a reputed vendor. Customers do not prefer to buy the pipes at a different place and fittings and flanges at another. One major problem recently was, when a client from Saudi Arabia mailed us that he require Incoloy 800H 5.2 meters Pipes on urgent base, and we supplied Incoloy 800 Pipes, as we were oblivious. With the later follow up, the client informed us about this. In exports, once the goods are delivered they never come back, due to the additional surcharge, duties, transport etc. Thus we instantly dispatched another lot of 5.2 meters of Incoloy 800H Pipes free of cost.

- Welded pipes are typically more cost effective than their seamless equivalents.
- Welded pipes are usually more readily available than seamless. The longer lead time required for seamless pipes can not only make timing problematic, but it also allows more time for the price of the materials to fluctuate.
- The wall thickness of welded pipes is generally more consistent than that of seamless pipes.
- The internal surface of welded tubes can be checked before manufacturing, which isn’t possible with seamless.

This is because the customers prefer to buy all the items in one place from a reputed vendor. Customers do not prefer to buy the pipes at a different place and fittings and flanges at another. This leads to a lot of inconvenience which he avoids at Ashtapad.
One major problem recently was, when a client from Saudi Arabia mailed us that he require Incoloy 800H 5.2 meters Pipes on urgent base, and we supplied Incoloy 800 Pipes, as we were oblivious. With the later follow up, the client informed us about this. In exports, once the goods are delivered they never come back, due to the additional surcharge, duties, transport etc. Thus we instantly dispatched another lot of 5.2 meters of Incoloy 800H Pipes free of cost.

The seamless steel pipe manufacturing process starts with a solid, round steel billet. This billet is then heated to great temperatures and stretched and pulled over a form until it takes the shape of a hollow tube. Selecting Nickel 200 ASTM B730 Welded Tube, welded-and-drawn, or seamless tubing for your application is a complex process. Do you know that longitudinal welds present an opportunity for defect, which cannot be tolerated in critical applications. To produce a welded tube, strip is roll-formed and joined with a longitudinal seam. The weld area is dimensionally inconsistent with the strip and causes areas of stress concentration, particularly for tubes that are subjected to a high internal pressure. Furthermore, these crevices, or areas of stress concentration that exist on both sides of the weld seam create opportunities for corrosion as residue becomes trapped. These crevices can cause cracks, which can propagate and cause the welded tube to rupture.
Methods for manufacturing welded tubing are countless and allow for great variance in the final product. Many manufacturers have the option to use TIG, laser, or high-frequency welding. Some manufacturers then roll-reduce, bead-hammer, sink through a die, or draw the as-welded tubing over a mandrel or a plug in an attempt to minimize the dimensional variation and integrate the weld seam. These products are known by many names like welded-and-drawn, seam-free and seam-integrated.

This is because the customers prefer to buy all the items in one place from a reputed vendor. Customers do not prefer to buy the pipes at a different place and fittings and flanges at another. One major problem recently was, when a client from Saudi Arabia mailed us that he require Incoloy 800H 5.2 meters Pipes on urgent base, and we supplied Incoloy 800 Pipes, as we were oblivious. With the later follow up, the client informed us about this. In exports, once the goods are delivered they never come back, due to the additional surcharge, duties, transport etc. Thus we instantly dispatched another lot of 5.2 meters of Incoloy 800H Pipes free of cost.

This is because the customers prefer to buy all the items in one place from a reputed vendor. Customers do not prefer to buy the pipes at a different place and fittings and flanges at another. This leads to a lot of inconvenience which he avoids at Ashtapad.
One major problem recently was, when a client from Saudi Arabia mailed us that he require "Incoloy 800" H 5.2 meters Pipes on urgent base, and we supplied Incoloy 800 Pipes, as we were oblivious. With the later follow up, the client informed us about this. In exports, once the goods are delivered they never come back, due to the additional surcharge, duties, transport etc. Thus we instantly dispatched another lot of 5.2 meters of Incoloy 800H Pipes free of cost.

The seamless steel pipe manufacturing process starts with a solid, round steel billet. This billet is then heated to great temperatures and stretched and pulled over a form until it takes the shape of a hollow tube. As other steel pipe suppliers will tell you, there are three great advantages to making a pipe in this way. A seamless stainless steel pipe or tube can pass through as many as 100 production steps before taking its final form and quality.
Advantages of Nickel 200 ASTM B161 Seamless Pipe
- The main perceived advantage of seamless pipes is that they don’t have a weld seam. Traditionally, the seam of welded pipes has been viewed as a weak spot, vulnerable to failure and corrosion. For many years, this fear was probably justified. However, in recent years improvements in the manufacturing process for welded steel pipes and other welded pipes have boosted the strength and performance of the weld seam to levels indistinguishable from that of the rest of the pipe.
- Seamless pipes provide peace of mind. Although there should be no issues with the seams of welded pipes supplied by reputable manufacturers, seamless pipes prevent any possibility of a weak seam.
- Seamless pipes have better ovality, or roundness, than welded pipes.

Incoloy Pipes is a very non standard item of Pipes. It is rarely used for only specialized applications. We majorly supply Incoloy pipes to traders and end users only in India, who in turn export it. We also export to traders and distributors in Gulf. The pipes are supplied as a complete package of piping solution along with the fittings and flanges. This is because the customers prefer to buy all the items in one place from a reputed vendor. Customers do not prefer to buy the pipes at a different place and fittings and flanges at another. This leads to a lot of inconvenience which he avoids at Ashtapad.
One major problem recently was, when a client from Saudi Arabia mailed us that he require "Incoloy 800" H 5.2 meters Pipes on urgent base, and we supplied Incoloy 800 Pipes, as we were oblivious. With the later follow up, the client informed us about this. In exports, once the goods are delivered they never come back, due to the additional surcharge, duties, transport etc. Thus we instantly dispatched another lot of 5.2 meters of Incoloy 800H Pipes free of cost.
